  1. Aloe Vera

Having antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties makes aloe vera a natural scar removal remedy. It works as an emollient to help repair damaged skin and accelerate growth of healthy skin. Additionally, it improves skin texture.

Be careful not to apply aloe vera gel on open wounds.

  1. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is another excellent ingredient that can help fade scars. It contains vitamin E which is an antioxidant that accelerates the healing time. Additionally, the lauric, caprylic and capric acids found in coconut oil are stimulating the production of collagen and reverses damage done by free radicals.

For optimal results, repeat this 2 to 4 times a day.

  1. Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E oil is an effective antioxidant that can help fade scars. Because of the moisturizing properties, it hydrates the skin and repairs the damaged tissue and improves the appearance of scars.

You can do this several times a day.

Note: Check in with your MD before using it, since vitamin E oil can cause some reactions to people who are allergic.

Another option is to mix a little lavender oil with extra-virgin olive oil.

It contains alpha hydroxy acids, which have healing properties that can help treat scars. By using lemon you can remove dead skin cells, accelerate the growth of new skin cells and improve skin elasticity.

Apply some lemon juice on the affected area. Those who have sensitive skin can dilute the lemon juice with equal amounts of water or vitamin E oil and then apply it to the scar.

Wait for 10 minutes, and then wash it off with warm water.

Repeat once daily until the scar fades.

By being a natural moisturizer, honey is effective in scar removal treatment. It prevents accumulation of dead skin cells and accelerates tissue regeneration.

Another option is to make a scrub with equal amounts of honey and crystallized sugar. Apply it on the affected area and scrub gently for a few minutes. Wash it off with warm water, pat dry and apply a moisturizer. Use this treatment once or twice a week.

Mix equal amounts of apple cider vinegar and water. Dip a cotton ball in the mixture and apply it on the scar. Leave it on for 5 minutes, and then wash it off with water.

Apply a spoonful of pure cocoa butter on the acne scar and massage it gently using firm, circular motions.

Leave it on overnight and wash it off the next morning with lukewarm water.

Repeat this on a daily basis.

  1. Tea Tree Oil

By having anti-inflammatory and skin healing properties tea tree oil is a useful essential oil that helps reduce scars and blemishes.

Add 4 drops of tea tree oil into 2 tablespoons of water. Use the solution to wash the affected area couple times a day.

Alternatively, add 2 or 3 drops of tea tree oil to 1 teaspoon of almond oil and apply it on the acne scar. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. Use this remedy on a daily basis.

  1. Sandalwood

Sandalwood has skin-regenerating and soothing properties that can reduce the appearance of acne scars.

Mix equal amounts of sandalwood oil and any carrier oil of your choice. Apply it on the scar with a cotton ball. Allow it to sit for about 30 minutes, and then wash it off with warm water. Perform this twice a day.

Additionally, you can make a paste by mixing 1 teaspoon of sandalwood powder and water or milk. Apply the paste on the scar and leave it on for 1 hour before washing it off with cold water. Do this on a daily basis.
