Aromatherapy is based on the use of essential oils, and proved to be successful in managing and alleviating digestive problems.

Cinnamon

It has proved to be excellent for relieving gastrointestinal cramps, stimulating appetite and relieving indigestion. Cinnamon is effective in relieving nausea and vomiting, and is especially effective for relieving diarrhea in children.

Ginger

It calms the digestive system. Ginger is known as an antiseptic, laxative, stimulant and tonic. Commonly used to relieve diarrhea, gas, indigestion, nausea and vomiting. Ginger is great for pregnant women who have problems with nausea.

Grapefruit

It is excellent for detoxification because it stimulates the lymphatic system. Grapefruit is rich in linoleic, linolenic and oleic acid, which stimulates the digestive system. Inhaling scents of grapefruit can reduce the craving for sweets.

Lavender

This soothing essential oil is useful for relieving indigestion because it increases the intestinal motility. Lavender will improve the performance of the entire digestive system, and alleviate nausea and gas.

Lemon

Marjoram

Peppermint

Peppermint has antibacterial and anticancer activity. It soothes and stimulates the functioning of the digestive system. It may be useful for food poisoning, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, gas, bad breath, nausea, infection, gastritis and mustard.

Rosemary

Most often rosemary’s used for stomach cramps. It helps in welding meat, especially lamb, beef and pork. It relieves constipation and diarrhea.

Chamomile

Chamomile is used for a variety of digestive disorders, including nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, bloating, gas and cramps.

Miraculous drink

  • 3 drops of essential oil of ginger
  • 4 drops of essential oil of cinnamon
  • 5 drops of essential oil of chamomile
  • 3 drops of essential oil of peppermint

Mix these essential oils with 30 milliliters of jojoba oil. Massage the stomach with this mixture after every meal. This mixture of oils can also be used for inhalation during nausea.
