If you are a fan of the smell and the taste of baked polenta, then you’re going to enjoy in these tasty polenta fries. Serve them with some delicious sauce.
- 1 l milk
- 250 ml water
- 30 g butter
- 300 g polenta
- 50 g grated parmesan
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- In a large pot put the milk, the butter and one cup of water. Gradually add polenta. Reduce the heat and cook stirring constantly until the polenta thickens, but not more than 10 minutes. Remove the pot from fire.
- Once slightly cooled add the parmesan and salt. Cover the baking dish with parchment paper and pour the polenta on the entire surface of the baking dish. Cover the dish with foil and place in the fridge for at least an hour.
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Cut polenta lengthwise in the form of sticks. Sprinkle with salt and olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes or until the polenta sticks get golden color.
- Meanwhile, make the sauce. You need three tablespoons of mayonnaise and half green lemon. Squeeze the lemon and mix the lemon juice with the mayonnaise. This sauce will fit perfectly with the polenta fries.
