Even though it seems like the simplest act or routine, it is considered to be the biggest step in preserving our skin’s health and look. What you didn’t know is that most of us do it wrong.
By washing our face in a wrong way we are just making it worse. The results can be many skin problems such as irritation, dryness, oiliness, acne, breakouts, wrinkles and many more.
To repair that, we need to implement proper techniques. By doing so, you will reverse the damage done and take off your skin.
Here are the top 10 common mistakes to avoid when washing your face.
Washing our face prevents yeast buildup, which if not treated can result in many skin conditions. But what we tend to do is over washing it by doing it several times a day. Over washing can also contribute to some bad conditions like irritation, oiliness and skin aging. Therefore washing your face twice a day is considered the best protocol. It is recommended to do it in the morning after all the dirt and bacteria have accumulated while you were sleeping and before going to sleep.
What we recommend is throughout the day, is to use wipes instead of washing, but not too often.
Washing you face with hot water during the winter can be very relaxing, but it can dry out your skin. However, even washing your face with cold water can be as bad as it irritates the skin and breaks the capillaries.
The best option for you is to use either lukewarm or room temperature water. This will help keep your skin healthy. Do not wash your face with water that is not suitable for drinking.
