Strategy Analytics in a report titled “Consumer Purchase Intentions Post Covid-19” revealed that a large number of users in China will postpone the purchase of their new smartphone. This survey involved 1,300 smartphone owners in China from March 23-25, 2020.
Reported by GSM Arena. The report revealed that as much as 37 percent of respondents would delay buying a new smartphone because of the Corona pandemic. In addition, 32 percent of users plan to buy a 5G device, but will wait first.
Approximately 28 percent will buy a new cellphone according to their plans before the Corona pandemic. Meanwhile, 9 percent will not buy a new device under any circumstances.
On the other hand, in the report mentioned that 41 percent of Apple users who are respondents, plan to update the iPhone when the situation has improved.
According to Strategy Analysts, supply chains, factories and retail stores are slowly returning to normal working conditions. On the other hand, so-called consumer demand will take longer to recover.
Huawei Releases Trio Flagship P40
Furthermore, the Chinese vendor Huawei finally announced the presence of the P40 flagship series. This smartphone series comes in three variants namely P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro Plus (P40 Pro +).

“The P40 series is very compact with smaller bezels compared to other flagships. This design makes it easy to hold,” said Yu.
Huawei P40 and P40 Pro come in five colors, namely Black, Deep Sea Blue, Ice White, Silver Frost, and Blush Gold. While the P40 Pro Plus with two color choices, Ceramic Black and Ceramic White.
